MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND
Sunday Worship, May 29, 9:30am
Memorial Day remembrances begin at Sunday Worship. When our lives seemed to be surrounded by uncertainty, conflict, and isolation… it is important to remember that God calls each of us to be his children. The meditation for the day reminds us God will not abandon us in our daily lives.
Memorial Day, May 30, 9:00am
Upper Saddle River Annual Convocation
The Annual Convocation begins Memorial Day in prayer and thanksgiving for the sacrifices American veterans have made for the people and nation of the United States of America. Prayers, hymns, and meditation on the contributions by the men and women of the United States Military, Merchant Marine, and Women’s Air Service Pilots will prepare us to offer the just honor they deserve.
This is family friendly and open to all religious traditions. Parents are encouraged to bring their children and give them an opportunity to learn about the people who served our nation and our communities. Members of the volunteer service groups will be honor guards for the Convocation. Active service members and veterans are encouraged to wear their appropriate uniforms and service decorations.
